Today we spent the day at Saguaro National Park
If you have any fascination or curiosity about the Saguaro Cactus then the Saguaro National Park is the place to go. I really had a lot of fun visiting here. We learned a lot about the Saguaro- like it takes about 75 years for it to grow ‘arms’. It is truly remarkable that these cacti even survive to maturity considering the odds they have to beat to reach maturity. It takes 30 years for them just to get a few feet tall.
We also learned about some of the animals and other plants and flowers of the area. The desert is truly fascinating. It is so different from where I am from and it is amazing that plants and animals can live in this hard environment with little water.

Enjoying the views with the cacti in the background.
The views are amazing. It is like a forest of Saguaro Cacti, as far as you can see. Another thing we were able to view are petroglyphs. Petroglyphs are writings on rocks from the ancient people who once lived in this area.
