Well, today is our second full day here. Today is Sunday and we tried a church here in Buckeye, Arizona. It was different experience for us considering we have been attending the same church for the same 12 plus years. We are also used to a congregation of 400 plus people and this congregation was probably less than 25.
One of the things I did love is that the church seems to have a heart for missions. They donate food and their men’s ministry serves by repairing homes for those in need and the women’s ministry is helping those that childcare, transportation and other needs as well. Another amazing thing the church is doing is providing after-school care for free.
I am not sure whether we will return to this church next Sunday or try another one in the area. As introverts (my husband and I), we prefer to fade in with the crowd. In a crowd that small that is a pretty impossible feat. Maybe we need to stretch out of that comfort zone yet again?
