The Arizona state sign was a welcomed sight to see. After traveling for almost a week we knew this leg of the journey was coming to an end.
It was exciting to ride through the state and begin to see Arizona’s iconic Saguaro Cacti. We are really here. We are really doing this thing. I can’t help but think- we aren’t in SC anymore. Gone are the yards full of lush, green grass, huge pine trees and oaks. And gone is humidity, hallelujah!
As we drove through Phoenix we got a huge taste of what traffic will be like in this area. The bumper to bumper, slow moving traffic can be pretty stressful for the driver driving a 32 foot RV pulling a mini van. It doesn’t stop on a dime and unfortunately some drivers don’t understand this as they weave in and out of lanes.
After getting through the Phoenix area we came closer and closer to Buckeye. As we pulled into our new home for the next 13 weeks, Leaf Verde RV Resort, we all breathe a sigh of relief.
Now the journey really begins!
